Q. What is the Pupil Council ?

A. At pupil council we discuss matters such as what the school is going to be doing in the year to come.

Q. How do the pupils and staff know what has been discussed at the meetings ?

A. We type up the minutes and they are saved on the pupil common area.  They will now also be available in this section of the website.

Q.  Can pupils ask for issues to be raised at meetings ?

A. Pupil council members will visit each classroom and ask if they have any matters to raise.  Valid points will be added to the agenda of the meeting.

What else have we done this year?

• Continue to be a fairtrade school

• Gain sponsorship to buy new sports kits

• Give up to date class reports (via our school blog

• Have nursery link visitors – to keep them in touch with what we do

• Monitor the playground toys

 Worked with Parent Council to raise funds for a stage and tree seat.

Worked with Parent Council to run a book stall at the School Christmas Fayre.

Discussed and improved the School Handbook.
